Love my new engraver!

I just received my ACMER P3 48W Laser Engraver and it's fantastic! The power on this thing is incredible. It cut through the acrylic sheets I bought from them like butter. The build quality feels really sturdy. I'm already planning my next project. So glad I chose ACMER!

Good quality for the price

I bought the ACMER S1 40W Laser Engraver and an ACMER Air Assist Pump. Ordering was straightforward on their website. The machine arrived in about a week, which was reasonable. Everything was packed securely, no damage. Assembly took some time, but the instructions were clear enough. I used it with LightBurn and had no compatibility issues. The air assist makes a real difference on cuts. Customer support answered a question I had about a setting within a few hours. The quality of the engravings is solid for the price point, it's definitely a step up from my old unit.

Reliable machine, fast shipping

This was my third order from ACMER. I got the ACMER P3 22W Laser Engraver this time. Just like my previous P2, it arrived quickly and was well-packaged. The consistency of their shipping and product quality is why I keep coming back. Setup was easy as usual.

Hey, I'm looking at getting an ACMER P3 48W, but I'm in California. How long does shipping usually take to the West Coast? Don't want to wait forever.

S Sophie Kim 3 months ago
Mine arrived in like 5 days to Seattle, that was for an S1 though. I think they ship from a US warehouse.

Yeah, I got my P2 in about a week to LA. They're pretty quick if it's in stock domestically. You should be good.

Are ACMER machines compatible with LightBurn? That's the software I'm used to, and I don't want to learn something new.

C Chris E. 2 months ago
Yup, totally compatible. That's what I use with my P3. Works great.

Pretty sure most of their engravers work with LightBurn. It's kinda standard for this type of machine. Saves a lot of headaches learning new software.

Thinking of picking up one of the ACMER P3s, but seeing a bunch of different wattage options. Anyone know if the 48W is actually worth the extra cash over the 33W for a hobbyist?

M Mia W. 1 month ago
Depends what you wanna cut. If you're mostly engraving and cutting thin wood/acrylic, 33W is probably fine. For thicker stuff or faster cuts, 48W definitely helps. I upgraded and noticed a difference.

I have the 22W and it handles most of what I throw at it. The 48W is probably overkill unless you're doing production runs or really thick materials regularly.

I'm looking at the ACMER P3 vs. an xTool D1 Pro. What's the general vibe on how ACMER compares? Is it a genuine alternative or more of a budget option?

S Steve 2 months ago
ACMER is definitely legit. I'd say they're more comparable to Sculpfun or Ortur. xTool is kinda their own thing with more ecosystem stuff, but ACMER's performance for the price is really good, especially with the Corexy stuff.

I went with an ACMER P2 after comparing to xTool. For the actual laser performance and build quality, I think ACMER holds its own, often at a better price point. xTool might have a fancier app or more beginner hand-holding, but for raw engraving/cutting, ACMER delivers.

Does anyone know if ACMER has a student discount? I'm trying to save some money on a new engraver for my projects.

J James Osei 2 months ago
I think they do! I saw something about it on their site or maybe an influencer mentioned it. Worth checking their FAQ or just emailing them.

They definitely had one when I bought my S1 last year. It wasn't huge but every bit helps, right? Look for a specific section on their site.
